Recently on Twitter, there is a game blowing up called “Dress Maker”, from what I have heard, the majority portion of its player-base is adult women, but many adult men are enjoying the game as well. Afterall, its fun to have a new art tool… Well, I experienced this myself today.
Today my mid semester exams are over, and I was deciding what to do, I really wanted to draw something and so I started drawing my favorite character… Alice Margatroid (it was hard to tell wasn’t it?) from Touhou Project. At first I was just doodling around and it was fun and then I realized I should draw Alice in a beautiful sari. That too in traditional Bengali style red-and-white sari. Look I have no clue about how to draw perspectives or anything. I used to go to art classes in primary school, but after class 6 I never went to any art classes, I have done a few perspective things before, but that was 8 years ago, but anyways. I started drawing, drawing on graphics tablet is nice, because you can easily erase your errors and draw over as many times as you like. Even though its harder to maintain the proportions when your hand and eye aren’t coordinating properly.
But as I started drawing I realized… drawing the sari is more interesting than the person herself. There’s simply so much to customize and everything, and each stroke makes it look even more intricate and beautiful…. ahhh! and I ended up with such a pretty design of sari, I don’t know! I am a guy, and I still think this is absolutely so pretty.

I literally am not able to focus that well, I feel my attention span going down for tasks, feel like I cannot do any long task, or something I have never done before for longer amount of time, but guess what. I sat for FOUR HOURS!!! I sat for 4 hours in one go and made it lol. Only opening my phone to take pictures of my progress. Look I know the face, especially the hand turned out really bad. BUT THAT’S NOT THE POINT. The point is the sari. It’s so beautiful. It’s so peak ahh. In fact I loved designing sari so much that now I want to make a full on game which involves designing a beautiful sari. It will be banger. Every man and woman should try this, it’s so relaxing. I can feel my cortisol being lowered. I can feel calmness.

Look I am aware the hand looks absolutely A55 but I tried my best I swear to God — it still turned out so bad. I invested like 20-30 minutes on the hands and yet got this cat like hand, it’s pissing me off too. Another thing a lot of people are telling me is that her biceps are too “masculine”… well… hmmm… lets just assume… I like that kind of girls hehe. And lastly, many people are complaining that I didn’t give her any blouse! Firstly, there isn’t any part that is even being sexualized of Lady Margatroid, if you get aroused by the stickman a55 figure, then its your problem. Like it’s just a bit of skin, you cannot even see the cleavage or anything. I just think its prettier that way, and even then blouse was something popularized by the colonial prudes for their modesty standards and bullshit. Only thing I would like to say is : Hungry man thinks of the bread !
